Verification
Verify a file
Every original delivered through RELEASE carries a SHA-256 fingerprint, recorded the moment it was uploaded and printed on the licence certificate.
Drop the file you downloaded, or click to choose it
It never leaves your computer — the fingerprint is computed here, in your browser.
Nothing is uploaded
The fingerprint is computed by your own browser, on your own machine. The file is never sent to us or to anyone else.
What a fingerprint proves
A SHA-256 fingerprint is a short string derived from every single byte of a file. Change one frame, one pixel or one byte and it changes completely — which is what makes it useful.
If it doesn’t match
That is usually innocent. Re-exporting, compressing, trimming or converting a file all produce a different fingerprint, so an edited version will never match — which is precisely what makes the check meaningful. It means this particular file is not the one that was delivered, not that anyone acted in bad faith.
